In the market for a sling for pcc (all black) and thinking of breaking it up a bit with a green sling? thinking Magpul MS4, thoughts or pics if anyone has done this. thanks

I am partial to Blue Force slings and have their camo sling on my FX9 and quite like the contrast. The sling has a dark green tinge to it. Check their slings out you won't be disappointed.

I’ve several green MS4 slings on black carbines . Look fine, as Bigmouth says, don’t give a #### and buy

Buy a BFG Vickers sling over a MS4, the Magpul is slippery and slides too easy it’s basically like seatbelt material. The Vickers is a webbing and has more friction, it’s easy to use the slider but will stay put better. I have both and the Vickers is above the MS4 by a lot.

it is really coming to personal preference too and i do prefer the ms4. and they do look great in green on a black rifle.

I've found that some of the Magpul slings are quite slippery like you say, and some aren't. I guess there is lot to lot variation.

The BFG Vickers sling is better in that it is consistently "just right" in terms of friction (for me and my application, anyway). But it has a different profile, and it's pull tab vs. flat slider on the Magpul, so I can imagine some people having strong preferences on that basis.

I'm going to paint all my PCC 's with Cerecoat invisible paint. That way when Trudeau decides he wants them they will all have disappeared. When they are invisible the colour matching is perfect. If you are looking for a tactical sling or just a sling to carry your rifle/carbine the Blue Force slings really are hard to beat.

Green on black looks better than most combos IMO. I paint most of my guns so I don't have any photos, sorry. You can find lots of stuff through Google.

Since it's a topic now I don't mind the MS4 at all. It's the bulk of what I use. I have literally hung off the sling and it didn't move so regardless of how slippery it is while adjusting, does it matter? Nothing at all wrong with BFG though!

I find the Vickers stays put if it’s over your shoulder while on foot, the MS4 slides around and I’m adjusting it a lot. Otherwise it’s a well built sling with an easy to adjust slider. When set up tight across the back or chest it’s not an issue, I ended up with the Magpul on a shotgun and all my Vickers are on rifles I hunt with.

A friend of mine uses the Ferro Slingster, it’s another one I’d like to try out that looks well made and received.

Are you matching your shooting shoes to your gun or to your sling ?

Also, I highly recommend Ferro Concept Slingster for your sling needs.
