so I recently purchaced a Martini Greener prison guard shotgun, the MkIII which uses the odd ball 14 gauge shell with the annular groove

anyone know of a source of brass ??

or anyone know of a way to make brass for this odd chamber ??

I believe there were a few at the last gun show I was at so will look for them at the August show. How much do you expect to have to pay for them as I'm not sure what the going rate is on those things? I got some regular 14 ga brass from the same vendor a few months ago.

rocky mountain cartridge in the US other then that look for a extra firing pin and cut the lugs that go into the groove off then you can take normal 12ga brass and form it with dies (CH4D has dies)

Funny I was just thinking that 12 gauge shells 'necked' down might work.

I have not taken it apart yet to check the breach face and measure the base of the chamber, I did a quick check with a 12 gauge hull and it does fit.... well the first inch fits.

its a 12ga necked down it went through stages the last being the groove in the base and the lugs on the firing pin this was to stop stolen guns from being used when it was just a necked down a 16ga shell could be used with some paper wrapped around it could be fired

There were also plastic cartridges made. Why not try see if you can size down some plastic cases?
Years ago, I retrofitted a 12ga barrel to one. Easy to do, without any permanent alterations.

it mite work but plastic has a lot of memory and would like to go back into shape. I seen some of the plastic case stuff for the 12/14 and it looks like its just a injection molded case most likely 14ga all the way through on the inside rather then necked down
