Greener full choke and slugs

I recently got a greener GP martini conversion and want to shoot slugs. The manuals say this is a full choke unless It was a custom order. So i assume it’s a fixed full. I casted some lee 7/8 slugs from pure lead and am going to load them in some BPI PT1205 wads. When I put the slug into
The wad to check fit there was no way it was going into that bore. Even the wad won’t fit. The portion that caps the powder. (Sorry for my poor term) is too big. I can drive the wad through the bore from the breech end but it takes some force. And pounding from Dowel and my palm. Is this kind of force normal for a full choke? Will a slug and wad swag down safely in a fixed full choke shotgun? Not looking for super high velocity just some plinkers at 1300-1400 FPS with reddot. I’m new to shotshell reloading and this recipe had components I could get. Just am double checking the safety factor here. Most of what I can find says 10 pounds force to get driven through a test fit in the bore. I’m certainly over that.

If you are just getting noticable resistance at the muzzle it would be caused by the choke. If the resistance is about the same end to end the gun likely has no effective choke, regardless of what it left the factory with. If the bore is glass smooth and your fit is very tight you may have a smaller than spec bore, however a rough or pitted bore will cause a lot of resistance. 12 gauge measures .729" but many English shotguns were made with smaller bores. If it is marrked 13/1 the original size was .719". If it is stamped 13 the original size was .709". One of these figures or the actual decimal measurement should be stamped somewhere on the breech end of the barrel. It looks like your gun is stamped 12 so it has a standard bore size for the gauge.I'm not familiar with your mold, I don't know if it allows the slug to easily compress when it meets the choke like a Foster design slug does.

If you cant push with only moderate force (no pounding) your Slug trough the entire Barrel including Choke I would advice do not Shoot this load. Some of my Shotgun Barrels (I load for 12 & 16) can take a Slug inside a Wad others don't. Its a Dogs Breakfast and lots of BS regurgitated by People without any real knowledge.
Utube is your Friend and it is also worthwhile to consider what the Shotshell Professor Tim Roster says, he is an Expert I trust.

So I just slugged this bore and it comes in at .690.5 - .691. Gets tight right at the last 3” or so. I was really banking on a nice little slug plinker but she may be too tight for such duty’s.

The lee 7/8 slug @.685 ish doesn’t have a lot of meat it’s almost hollow but with the BPI wad @ .027 petals rounds me out at .739-.740” that’s a .049” over bore.

So the more I think about this perhaps I can size down these slugs? Figure maybe modifying a lee .510 or making a custom sizer. If I can size it down .049” I’d be in business. But not sure if that is too much for a single sizer pass? Has anyone tried something like this?

I myself can only add this, my Deerslayer mikes .690 at the muzzle. Was designed for your typical soft foster factory slug in mind.
It's very accurate with fosters. And on certain occasions I have fed it brennekes.(also very accurate) However these are only sparingly used by myself. Only because it was not meant for these superior slugs.
