Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking for a while and decided to say hello. I have shot a bit (mostly a Ruger 10/22 at the cottage) and have always wanted to get into handgun shooting. I finally decided to just get on the bus and joined a local club.

I am contemplating attending a 4 day course at Front Sight in Nevada and would appreciate any feedback from people who have been there.

I am planning to purchase my first handgun in the next few weeks and would also be interested in opinions of a non "Glock/HK/Sig etc. Sucks/Rules etc." nature. Having never shot any centrefire semi-auto I will be demoing any model that I can...:D

I am also interested in rifle and shotgun but my experience here is minimal.

never been there but have been thinking about it
You need a few thousand rounds down the pipe before you are ready for it
(4 days at front sight,--->your brain is not ready for it) and will be $$ down the drain , Try a local 1 day course first even

check out PPC/ IPSC / IPDA / Action Pistol each have a course / instruction that can be local or a few hours away that will cost a lot less

Thanks for the welcome... Regarding Target Sports I have just joined the Grange and have my safety course next Saturday. Only 5 more sleeps... lol
