Thanks for the add. Used to be an avid trap and skeet shooter back in the 70's, enjoyed that a lot. Got into other hobbies over the interim, but now looking at target shooting for a sport. Recently got to practice with a Ruger .17 HMR and immediately got hooked. Joining the local gun range, planning on starting with a .22. Got my eye on a Winchester Model 61 that a friend has for sale with a scope. Looking at center fire rifles, seems reloading would be only reasonable method to shoot on a regular basis.

Welcome Silvergrizz, I recommend reloading for sure, not much that I can buy cheaper than reloading and that is definitely plinker only stuff anyway but if thats the goal then hell ya! But I still buy cheap stuff for plinking then turn around and fill ‘em up again but with better bullets ( still my plinking ammo as I will use better brass for match bullets ) but for me cost is only one factor, the enjoyment of the process and satisfaction of making my own as good or better than I can buy is where its at! (For me anyway)
Enjoy the nuthouse!
