Too bad it's not white gold or something more useful. It's been a crazy winter here in Quesnel and I too am waiting for the white stuff to go. Welcome to the neighbourhood.
 
.... Welcome to CGN ! I used to live in Mackenzie way back in 1972 ...'Guess with the Lumber Industry being so hard hit, the Town must be hurting. Is the Pulp Mill still operating? Or slowed/shut down ! ...'Still have very fond memories, of the sun rising, from the top of Morfee Mountain ! ..... Again welcome ! .... David K.

AbitibiBowater shutdown the paper mill and temporarily shutdown the sawmills which put 660 jobs on the block. I think the sawmills will start up once the market turns around. At Pope & Talbot's pulpmill, we are waiting for the new owners to take over and see how things progress then. I do enjoy the sunset views from Morfee Mtn. as well.
