Greetings from new guy in Southern Ontario

Greetings folks.

I have been an active member of a national airgun forum for 2+ years and I am contemplating moving into PAL airguns and PAL/RPAL powder burners and this forum was recommended as a great resource and community. So I plan to look around a lot for now and when I am ready may be looking to purchase.

I am a middle aged fella who has always been drawn to shooting sports but have only been in the sub 500 airgun world only since I got my first AG pistol and rifle as a kid. My interest is more in the action shooting area but I do like the calm and meditation quality of target shooting and do it as well.

I was never into paintball or airsoft (not judging just reporting!). I would probably have a heart attack now with all that amount of running.

As a wanna be cowboy I am drawn to CAS ( just a little running and they use tables and chairs!) and have been doing my own airgun version for a while now. I recently joined a local gun club where another CAF members currently shoots his airguns so I plan to hang out with him for a while at the range shooting AGs and get comfortable in the environment.

So off I go looking around and getting know folks and soaking up the wisdom and experience here.

(also please forgive any apparent lack of care in typing ...I am part time dyslexic (worse when tired) and often can't even see my errors despite proof reading before posting)

Hello and welcome.

It's funny, now that I have a RPAL, and all the fun that entails, I find I almost appreciate my air guns more than I used to. In particular, not having to worry about storage and transport rules with sub 500 fps! And the price per shot can't be beat.

I am of the same mind but still look forward to perhaps competing with things that go boom...practicing with the airguns for proficiency etc. ...best of both worlds perhaps. I treat all my AG pistols as restricted when I store, move and use them. So if I go RPAL I wont have 2 standards and risk of a lacks moment in the wrong direction.
