Hi. Who is selling Kobra Carry's in TO? Just curious.
In any case, have you handled a Kobra Carry? Does it fit your hand(you can easily reach the trigger with no strain)? No point spending 3 grand if it doesn't. It's not the cartridge. the .45 is fairly comfortable to shoot, even with hot ammo, but it must fit your hand. If any handgun doesn't fit, you'll never be able to shoot it well. You won't be able to sell a 3 thousand dollar pistol easily. You'll never get anywhere near 3 grand for it either.
There are lots of good quality .45's that don't cost anywhere near $3,000. A Kimber Custom Target II, for example, runs $1,240.00 at Shooter's Choice, in Waterloo.
Factory .45 ammo isn't cheap either. Think around $25ish plus per 50. Get expensive quickly. Reloading helps, but it's cheaper to learn how to shoot a handgun with a .22.
The first handgun I owned that worked, 30 some years ago, was an issue .45. Soon bought a .22. Ammo was expensive then too.
