Greetings from Nova Scotia

Show is sat & sun. 9-5 & 9-3 respectively at the bible hill junior high, will be there as usual. Always alot of neat stuff crammed in there! Just start eating bread and water, cut the power and turn off the heat... then youll have more money to feed your habit. It seems to work for drug addicts:p

Welcome...
Just back from the show, took my daughter (8).
She got a belt buckle.
I bought the cannon....
NS

I was there when it opened on Saturday (I was on my way to Sydney for the day). I picked up a couple of pounds of Varget and some magnum pistol primers (that Python isn't going to feed itself).

You say cannon, was that that beast that was about a yard long and looked like it was in the white (or was it chromed?)? No carriage, I just walked by it.

They have gun shows at Schools in NS? Nice to see that folks from home don't have their heads up their asses like here in ON.

Lots of the older high schools in Barrie used to have indoor shooting ranges when they were built in the 50's. I bet most parents here don't know that.

ya there was alot of interesting gear there yesterday, Big turnout this year. I liked the 1895 lee navy display and was there ever a flood of rossi's there. Did you all see that mauser in 45-70?? I picked up some 7.62 nato ball fairly cheap, an old bushnell sportsman 3-9x40, some files, and some hi-vis sight paint. Ive got to go back here in a bit to see if I can get a deal on a .22 mag.

oh and I forgot the previous principle of the school, who is working on behalf of Scott Armstrong (our local Conservative MP) awarded the two who have been organizing the show for the past 12 yrs. with a certificate and a few words about the abolishment of the Registry.
Thank you guys Its events like this that gets the general public interested and aware, and the government to listen.

That Lee display was neat...even the part of one recovered from the USS Maine!!!! COOL!

Ya I really enjoyed talking with him, he sure knows his gear. I was amazed at the mauser in 45-70 right beside him too:eek:.

Well didnt get the .22 mag I wanted (my wallet thanked me), I did get alittle more Canadian issue nato ball ('58) still in the 10 rd boxes that were in a broadarrow stamped kaki/tan bandolier dated '48. Id assume its for .303 as the FN wasnt issued untill the early fifties right? It fits two 7.62 5rd clips per pouch perfectly.
