Hi everyone,

I'm a relatively new shooter from Ottawa. I recently got my PAL/RPAL and picked up a Simonov SKS 1945 with the intent of joining a club nearby that will let me shoot centerfire.

A .22 rifle of some sort and a shotgun for skeet/trap are next on the list to purchase.

I was referred to this site by a friend, and it's looking good! I think I'll make myself comfortable.

My hobbies always seem to be the expensive ones. That's the trade-off for a love of gadgets and guns, I suppose!
 
if you want center fire, 22 and skeet, i recommend that you visit the CTHG/Danford lake across the river.

I'm also waiting for the next safety course their running at EOHC, so I might see you there if you decide to join.
 
heya. i only shoot at Connaught so far, but been to EOHC once.

Welcome aboard. I usually shoot at the Stittsville range, but I am planning to go and see the EOHC, as it would be closer for me.

I'll be checking out the Connaught ranges next Thursday. Looks good - one of the range officers was my instructor for the CFSC.

Will also take a look into the EOHC. Thanks for the advice, all.
