Hey all,

Got my licences in October and been ramping up my trips to the range.

Based 50/50 out of Toronto and Ottawa but been shooting exclusively at Stittsville. Want to find a club in the GTA but with traffic and living in DT Toronto makes it a slog hence why I’ve only been ripping the range when at my family’s in Ottawa.

I’m trying to git gud on my mosin and sks with irons before ramping up to more accurate platforms and optics hehe.

Glad to finally have joined the community here.

Cheers

Stittsville is great, great variety of yardage and shooting types. The community and members there are great and friendly.

Haven’t been but heard great things too about the one east of Ottawa. EOSC I believe
EOSC is a great place for shooting various calibres and distances. Nice and bracing in the winter outdoors but a bit buggy in the warmer seasons. Heated bathrooms. Not too busy during the week so a great time to go if you can. Gated so a card and membership is required. Unless there are others on the range you are on you are your own range officer. Memberships sold between September and February and new members need to take a course. Yearly cost around $320 or . A great place to shoot!

I pay about $150, with key, for my range membership in BC. I'm surprised at the amount you're paying.

I’ve heard fabulous things about Stittsville near Ottawa and Lower Trent Valley. Google is your friend for learning more about these reputable GCs.

Peace Be The Journey!

We have fairly high land values here and the club doesn’t own the land. Up until recently we had a padlock and combo for the gate but the range was getting abused by former non paying members, locals and others who would come in and shoot up things and leave a mess. So we went to a gate and card system. I’ve been at the club for years and the price has gone up along with everything else. For the money we get plowed access roads, plowed ranges, garbage removal, club insurance, heated bathrooms as noted and a decent club house. We have no power coming in so everything is solar , batteries and propane. Given the alternatives, or lack of, I am as happy as a pig in you know what lol!
I envy your rate but am willing to pay for what is provided.
