...and that is of course Southeast Alberta
I have lots of buddies that have spoken about this site and lately I have had some equipment that I wanted to aquire and sell, and that is ultimately what brought me here. I have found over the last week or so perusing the site that there is much more that will keep me here. I'm very glad I took the time to join. I'm surprised I haven't done this before (as many others seem to be saying).
Anyway, I am one of the directors of the local gun club and I am also a Range Safety Officer as of last year through the AFSS.
Over the last five or ten years the Good Lord seems to have been smiling somewhat on my career (OK maybe just grinning—or it may have been just a smirk) which has allowed me to finally get back into my childhood passion of shooting. A large portion of my line of work is in wildlife photography which three years ago afforded me for the first time the very delightful privilege of a carry permit throughout western Canada. So now I spend most weekends away from home just driving from Regina to Vancouver with a .45 under my seat a $100 pocket digi-cam in my pocket. Just cuz I can.No wait, the cam is under the seat and the...
kidding. (about Regina).
Anyway, right now in the vault I have an old Springfield .270 that I inherited and don't shoot, a Martini-Henry carbine from the late 1700's (also an inheritance that I shoot only for a week every November
a couple of Steyr Kropatscheks from 1886 (that I'm selling for a friend—will they punt this into EE for saying that??) a couple of over/under bird & trap guns, a Remington 870 tactical pump, a magnum research 10/22 .17HMR, a Savage 10FP LE1A (that is an absolute tack driver), a browning buckmark .22 carbine, and my pride and joy...a SL84 with a G36 lower conversion package. I sold all of my other handguns (and my spleen) for my Wilson.45 (CQB) which of coarse at least shoots like a damn.
Once again I'm glad to be here, thanks for having me. Three cheers to Al Gore for making this whole internet forum thingy possible.
Well enough about me—hows the kids?
