Grendel chamber neck clearance question.

In a bolt action rifle, what would be good chamber neck clearance for no neck turning. SAMMI has .007" for the 6.5 Grendel. Would .003" be a problem?

3 thou sounds a little tight for a no turn neck. Even brass like Lapua will have at least 1 thou variation. Plus a dirty chamber and I could see issues.

What would be good clearance? Seven thou seems a bit sloppy.

Take a loaded round, measure it and add 5 thousandths.
