Hi folks

i'm looking to buy a 10/22 clone instead of buying a 10/22 and puting a lot of modifications on it.

Grey birch Hunter and Tacsol X-Ring are the 2 models that seem bretty good but it's hard to find recent review on them.

Anyone have any good or bod expirence with those rifle?

thanks

I bought my Greybirch Fusion as a barreled action. I put it in a Magpul Hunter stock. I just love this rifle. It's super accurate even with cheap CCI Standard ammo. I have no problem recommending this setup.

I have a tacsol takedown that I built from pcs. I love this rifle, and it is used as my grouse getter on a yearly basis.

I had a total of 3 grey birch set ups, and well lets just say I don't own any right now, and just could not get to liking them. I tried several different combinations, from their first go, to the screw on barrel they ended up staying with, and their stocks.

An option that I liked as well was the magnum research rifles. The two I had were good shooters.

Another great option if you like tinkering is build a dlask setup with the tuff receiver and their carbon barrels. One of my best set ups I had, and sorely missed. You can purchase one completed I believe from them. I used to get the reciever and carbon barrels from them and have them fit them together, and add the other goodies like the kidd triggers.

I'm into a custom annie now, so no longer crave the 10/22 fix, though I do still have the takedown tacsol. I generally owned 3 of the 10/22's at once and have never owned an actual ruger made model. I loved building and tinkering with them, and have tried a lot of different combos, granted not all of them, but about 20 or so. Was building 3 lbs rifles before the optics were added. Still crave a kidd super grade, but that is another story altogether.

I own a grey birch LDR. The older style with barrel v block. I love it. If I was buying another 10/22 today it would be between the ruger 10/22 target lite (comes with bx trigger, bull barrel, thumb hole laminate stock, and under 5lbs) or the Bergara bxr. The volquartsen one is god tier imo but pricey

Im going to look a bit more in to the bxr i didn t think about that one the price seem more reasonnable

I already have a Bergara and i really like it
