Hey guys, bought a used GB LDR off the EE recently and love it. It had quite a lot of stovepipes though. The extractor looked fine but i decided to order a new one off CSC anyways. Glad i did, the extractor was in fact broken at the tip. Going to take it out tomorrow, possibly even today to see if the new extractor makes run 100%
I am attaching pics for anyone else having issues, it will be clear which one is broken when comparing the two.
Happy Shooting

First and third photos are the old one with just a wee chip off the tip? Hard to tell since the three images are taken so differently.

Not sure what barrel you’re running. But I have a grey birch LDR with the grey birch carbon barrel. I had extraction issues since day one. I too had broken the very tip off the extractor. Went with a volquartsen extractor and that helped greatly. But after a while the tip went off that one. I ended up filing the extractor groove in the barrel a bit to allow more room for the extractor to grab the rim of the shell. Pull your barrel off and pop a round in. Check and see how much of the rim is actually available to the extractor. A little file work did wonders and I no longer have any issue.

Super late reply sorry. The first pic is the new one installed in the action, the second and third are the broken one that was replaced.

Yes I am running the same setup, everything is GB but the previous owner dropped a Kidd single stage in it. At 8$ or so an extractor I am completely fine just buying new ones and swapping them instead of taking it apart and doing that mod. Smart idea though, and should fix all issues in the long run. For me, cleaning the extractor cutout with a needle and cleaning often in general, I havent had any issues since replacing mine and i think I have another spare ready to go!
