Do those shotguns start their life as an 870 police model, or an express model?

In the description it mentions bead blasting an 870 police, but I don't see "Police" on the receiver in any pictures.

Almost all the custom builders use express, mainly because they would be replacing higher cost parts with theirs anyway.

I think the OP is referring to the following description on the SJ website:

Bead blasting of entire police 870
Complete strip of frame and barrel
Polish of all surface contact areas including inside and outside of mag tube and frame
The bolt, cam and carrier are all deburred and hand polished
The chamber and bore get a three stage hand polish to a near mirror finish
Hand polish action bars

I figured it would make more sense to use an Express as the base, but starting with a police model would explain the pricetag.
