griffith island club

This thread looks like a blast from the past . Personally , can't really see the attraction of hunting in a stocked hunting reserve as it kind of kills the idea of a fair hunt , and pursuing your prey is part of the challenge . Kind of reminds me of those carnival games where you are guaranteed a prize regardless if you hit the target or not . Different strokes for different folks I guess .

The only thing that is stocked is the pheasants and small game birds and they are released as young birds well before hunting season. It's not high fence type hunting. Would you call using your dog to flush or point Grouse on crown land a fair hunt?

My bet would be 10K won't even touch it........
^^ Agreed. Thinking more like 40 ish
Don't know for sure about the cost but I suspect north of suggestions, especially in 2026. Perks to the club are considered for membership or maybe in lieu?? Have heard they have a "Black Ball System" to vet new members so even if you are affluent it does not guarantee membership. :)
