If I am pulling cast lead pistol bullets I just use a big pair of side cutters or linesman pliers. It marks them for sure put then just run them through a sizing die and they are good enough for 20 yds.

Kinda leaning towards this. Likely a collet puller in my future.

I bought a laser cut set similar to those. They kinda worked but were unreliable. I just spent $100 on the RCBS Collet Puller with a bunch of collects from Brownells and I'm glad I did.
