I was watching a YouTube video and buddy was using what appeared to be one of these. Looked like a decent tool.


What are your thoughts?

Might mar the bullet a but but that may or may not matter to you. Probably gets a little rough on the hands if you are going to high volume.

Garbage.

The bullet needs to be seated long and you need to grab below where it tapers. So sucked for any pistol rounds I loaded.

Works great as long as the rounds are not crimped.

In that case i suggest a couple of taps with the inertia puller to get rhe bullet moving in the neck, then finish pulling in the press to save the powder mess.

I use a set of channel locks to close the jaws if I have a few a to pull and it saves the hands.

Seems to work OK for me

Been using this for 40 years. If they a year old or so run them through a die and push the bullet down just enough to brake the corrosion bond.

A guy on here was making ones like that years ago. I got one, it’s ok but I prefer the kinetic puller to this. It’s hard on the hand having to squeeze the steel so tight to get it to grip well. Also it mars the bullet as stated earlier.
I always wanted to try one of those Rcbs die pullers.

Well looking at all the videos it looks like a really efficient way to pull bullets!!

My RCBS bullet puller was 40$.

I have pulled hundreds of rounds and the pills, although not quite pristine, are pretty durn good.

I got 157 rds in an “estate sale” and bought the puller just for that.

I have salvaged pounds of powder too (over time).

I am not sure what this medieval device costs but it appears to savage the projectile.

40$ in my case has been more than worth it for reusable brass, powder (i knew the guy) and pills.

May have the same as Mine. I found the area too thick.

Seems to be extra work if you already have the cartridge in the inertia puller. Just tap the puller a couple more times.
