so im starting to buy furnature for my AR and just wonder what recomendations are out there for grips. i wear mediem-large size gloves. also would like it in flat dark earth colour.

thanks guys.

Do you actually have the rifle yet?

Do you have a lot of trigger time on ARs?

Why not just spend your money on ammo, mags (and some training, if new to ARs), then decide what, if anything needs changing.

Go and read this to see what I am getting at:

Of course, it's your money, but why waste it?

Regards.

im military so i got lots of time on black rifles, this is my first personal AR but there no suprises. Just want to get away from a standard A2 grip no a real big deal just seeing what out there other then magpul.

I really dig the ergo grip and magpul Miad

X2. I use both of these as well. LMT rifles come with the Ergo grip and I figured I'd change them up but I actually like them. The rest of my AR rifles have Magpul Miad grips. They work great.

MIAD rocks

Excellent, at least you have plenty of time with the A2 grip, so you know you don't like it.

If you can tell us what you don't like (too big, small, slippery, etc.) then we can give you some possibilities.

I now run the Ergo on all my ARs, it is slightly smaller and very "grippy", so the rifle feels secure in my hand, and I wear large gloves. The Magpul equivalent would be the MOE+. MIAD if you want the ability to configure different options. MOE K if you want a steeper angle. There are also TangoDown and a couple of others.

Regards.

im likeing this grip and have read up on it before it may be the winner. i like how its adjustable and could conform to almost anyone. to big and slippery are also concerns for me but i dont forsee much issue with this one.

If you are concerned with slipperiness. Grip tape may be the answer. Decal grip makes pre cut tape for the Miad, but you can always source some sheets elsewhere (hardware stores, skateshops etc).
