Can i put grip tape on my mag bases and keep it production legal? I was looking over the IPSC rules and coldnt find it (or i missed it) appendix E3

Nevermind Appendix D4.16.2

3M saftey walk is available from depot and the like. It's sold to put on stares and stuff. Comes in a 2" roll. One roll will last a lifetime (depending on how many pistols you own)

You can constantly replace tape on polymer framed pistols or stipple like DSIWY said. Big Greasy Stipple Worx does it in Canada. They are only on Facebook. If you are working with a 1911, I have tried some of that ERGO grip tape. Its ok, but the skateboard tape can be a bit thinner and a more positive grip.

Any skate/snowboard shop will have it. Probably a lot of bike shops too. I get it here: h ttp://www.hogtownextreme.com/

Note: if you shoot a lot, stippling will wear. Since stippling is permanent, that may be a consideration if you like your grips to stay grippy. I usually replace the skate tape on my grips once per season, in the winter. I handle the gun quite a lot though so your mileage may vary.

I used grip tape from the dollar store. Meant for wooden stairs...
same as skateboard tape. it comes as 1"roll.

I used the grip tape sheets on my Sig and AR on my last deployment. The glue starts to suck when you're in heat. I changed up to black hockey tape and haven't had an issue since. It's cheap and you can get it anywhere.
