grips for sw 24

i've found the factory grips for my 44 spec can be painful to shoot when the loads get warmer than factory.

just curious what grips would work to tame the recoil a bit. i like the pachmayr grips, but think black plastic wouldn't look the best with nickel.

any good wood grips? anyone make a white rubber grip?

I know heavy 44 Spl loads can be a ``pain`` to shoot in Mdl 24s...If you want you can go with custom grips. This fellow makes fine ones:

Herrett's makes custom grips based on a tracing of your hand:

The Jordan Trooper design is supposed to be good for managing recoil. Any other design, which encloses the back of the frame will probably work better than factory Target grips.

Hogue makes the Monogrip in wood, the Jordan Trooper wood need a pretty big hand on an N frame.
