Griz hunt- a rifle quandary *hunt update*

I always figure instead of taking the gun that you can kill the bear with, take the one you want with you when you have to go into the alders after him. Good luck on your hunt!

Yes, seeing a alpha predator that is as high as the hood of many P/U while on all fours. I would want a bore capable of walking down with a cowboy hat on. In the absence of that in your choices, take the 375.

She sure is Purdy lookin'.
I mean the Bear and your Mrs is pretty cute too.
Great Story and the eyes on the GB looking over his shoulder tell an interesting story as does the Porcupine up in the tree too.
What type of camera you holding with your guns?
Thanks for sharing and sometimes Tag soup is pretty tasty too.

375 gets my vote. I shoot 50 and 54 cal Hawken cap locks. Now as to your question about hunting grizz with a 50 cal. Yes it has been done and can be done. I would not do it simply because in my mind it would not be wise or safe. Back in the day when hunting with 50-54 caliber black powder plains rifles there were generally more than just one shooter involved in putting the grmpy old man in the fur coat down.
