Grizz Mag 870 copy range test.

Has anyone done the math on alll the parts. $1200. thats seriouse cash for a kit-gun.

That includes a new barrel for starters... You could just keep the 15" one instead and save $200.

Lol, you guys seriously do look like you are ready for a zombie invasion in those vids. Really cool gun.

got me interested Simon!!!!!!
How is it compared to the tried and true Remington?
Well the gun is at least as good as the rem 870 express but its no police or marine magnum.
It is very well made, the mags are better then the $75 valtro mags i use to have.
steel is nice and hard not easy to dent .
stock are junk, very smooth no grip at all if you have water or oil on them.
The heat shield is a joke, but the iron site are basic and strong, but no wilson combat.
100% ejection no problem ever.
For a gun from china ect i feel its a really good gun for the price, other then the finish id put it against the cheap mossy guns anyday.
I think can ammo has a very good gun forsale hear and i plan to build many a combat shotgun on the DA grizzly shotguns they have to offer.

To BBB and other happy owners; do you guys know if it is feasible (and beneficial) to install choke tubes on this gun ? or is it better to just leave the cylinder bore as is ?
My thinking is that the possibility of adding various chokes would increase versatility for small and large game hunting.

I would like to, more versatility can leave it open, or choke it smaller.

That or if Canam gets just barrels in I my just by a different barrel with chokes, or maybe a longer one for hunting and keep the short open one for whatever (bear/home defense ect.)

Hey, does anyone know if the action bars are the same on the mag'd gun as on the regular Grizzly? I ask because I have a friction-fit totally stuck SpeedFeed forend on my Grizzly, and don't want to have to buy another one and spend more time filing it out to fit.

Thanks,

Brad

Gents:

If I may step in here.

I will say, that I have not seen this particular guy up close perosnally, I do know that that specs are pretty well the same for Late generation Norinco guns I have worked on.

The 14" barrel that I have seen are very nice and have the forcing cones done. As a result, they actually have a choke slightly more open than IC, and actually shot really well. This was a fact born out by the many conversations I had with Brobee, the originator of the CQB 870, and field testing.

However I to was interested in have chokes installed. The barrel walls are just to thin to have the barrel machined for chokes. If you can get you hands on a Dlask, or a real remington in the same/similar length thos will allo choke installation.

PaveHammer:

BBB and I discussed gun similarities at length for the standard models, and they were pretty much the same. Your best bet is to simply try it.

One word of caution. The forend tubes on the Grizzlies are slightly thicker thant the standard Remington ones, so if you want a remington forend to fit you will have to open it up slightly, and there after will only work on Grizly guns.

Hope that helps.

Cool, thanks, AB. I had to sand out the inner diameter of the Speedfeed forend quite a bit in order to get it onto the tube of the Grizzly. I'd be very happy if I could just swap forends.

You know, the more I look at these mags, the more I wonder if you could use a Mag coupler or redi mag on them.

BBB any thoughts??
