Grizz or black bear???

Without a doubt.........
It's a Black Bear ! ;)

Another thing to think about, a black bear walking will almost always overlap thier front print with thier rear print. A grizz rear print will be ahead of the front(just like the pic), when walking normaly they rarely completely overlap for a grizz.

Need more pics Win94 :D

Ok - for bonus points, who can say what that cartridge is :D

With much hesitancy, and only after blowing up the pic so it was fuzzy and hard to see - I thought I saw a belt combined with a long sloping shoulder . . . perhaps a .300 H&H.

I think some guys are confused because the top track with the cartridge in it is the rear paw of a grizzly and the bottom track is the front paw, hence the longer claws out in front of it.

The track to the left looks like the front toes of a coyote. Need better pictures though to tell.

A clear pic of th efront paw woudl be the easiest way to determine grizz/black, but if the red spots crazey davey made are the toenail tracks, it's surely a grizzly.:)

Besides...Everyne knows that there are GRIZZLIES behind every tree or bush and they are waiting to POUNCE on you!!!:runaway: :runaway:
