this thread skeers me , bears are mean and eat little people and destroy villages in a rabid rage , I would use a bazooka filled with marbles !

What I know: You got to hit the damn thing to stop it!!!
My defence: marine magnum 12 ga, four buckshot loads followed by two slugs in the tube.
My logic: 1) First slug into a (dead) tree above his head at 25 yds - make a hell of a noise!
2) second slug into the shoulder at 10 yards.
3) If he's still coming, I want to make damn sure I hit him with the next four 00 buckshot loads.

So it was you that I saw running naked thru the bush with 3 very hungry lumberjacks in hot pursuit. At the time I just didn't know WHAT they wanted to do to you! But the bacon explains it all now.
Take something you CAN SHOOT EFFECTIVELY UNDER PRESSURE. For most of us a 12 guage with slugs fits this profile
