Check it out, the bears come roaring in to cow elk call. This is evidence of why I like heavier chamberings here in BC.

Wish I knew what they were saying, were they expecting bull elk or grizz? Judging by the way the one guy was crying, I'd say the grizz approach was a surprise

Last year I had a grizzly come in like this to a moose call. My hunting buddy had a tag, so it all worked out. I guess my moose call sounded more like "cow in distress" than "come hither".

Wow , that's cool but I bet MoMA was circling. I had a bud that cried after his first Piece of tail . What a rush tears ? I know you guys can outrun me tears ?

We need a translation please

Guys face painted like they're in the movie "The Warriors" shouldn't cry.

Big bears and large predators are always a possibility ..... in some areas they even come running to the sound of gunfire looking for a gut pile.

They heard rummaging, thought it was an elk. When they finally saw what was answering to their calls it was too late, a mother and her two cubs where on them. One of the guys shot in front of the bears before they started yelling. One seems more experienced than the other two, explaining they aren't legally allowed to shoot the bears, and that he's experienced this a few times before. Every time a little less traumatic than the time before. The two others look like they never experienced such a thing.

Interesting how the bears immediately stand up, and wake up to the humans and promptly disappear. But still, quite a video!

One of those guys is Réal Langlois , "The Rack Man" so at least 2 of them have been in grizzly country before, the guy crying is his first encounter with a grizzly. I've only seen grizzly bears from a truck. I can't say how I would react having 3 run at me for the first time...hope I wouldn't cry like that, especially with someone filming but I can understand it being an incredible adrenaline rush to someone.

They found themselves in a situation that almost matches my 'worst case scenario'...

Momma bear with three 2 year old cubs she is about to kick out of home...

That's FOUR bears to put down in a SH1T HIT THE FAN SITUATION!!! FACK!!!

Cheers
Jay
P.S. Everyone reacts differently to stress, case in point, just search first skydive on youtube...

First guy: "I just pooed my cullottes".

Second guy: "Maybe that's what stopped the bears charge"

Crying guy: "But he's wearing my cullotes"

Gun loaded and eyes all around while working on your elk. ;)

Grizz

Youtube has an option for auto-generated subtitles you can turn off if you so desire - not perfect but it will give you the gist of what they are saying. As for the guy crying, I could see that as perfectly acceptable after a huge adrenaline dump like that.
