Hello,

Thinking of buying one.
Have the following questions:

1. Is back-boring / jug choke such as Van Comp even feasible with such a short barrel given there is almost no length of barrel to allow the shot column to expand prior to leaving the barrel.

2. Is there enough material to thread the cylinder bore for screw-in chokes?

3. Do standard Hogue forends fit the 8.5" or is it a custom job?

4. Ghost Ring sights worth the cost given the short sight radius and limited accuracy with short barrel.

5. Can a Hogue tactical buttstock (Shorter than regular stock) still meet the 26" OAL with it installed and the 8.5" barrel.

6. Limited round capacity (2-3/4" Shells) can be increased with mods to the follower - where do I find reference information on how to make this work.

This is simply a "fun" project that I want to try some ideas on.

I also want to know, if you put a straight pist grip on it is there something against that? Maybe just store it with he standard stock? It looks looks a really fun little gun. I'm gonna buy one as soon as I can find a good enough excuse

i'd do what i will to my 12.5 shortie , regardless of barrel length , no backboring , just port, and thread for a compensator/door breatcher i think wit the porting and comp it will do well for recoil dampening. also look very cool , and add a xs big dot front sight on both , if i had a 8.5.

Be carefull about porting on the really short barrels, the gasses come out right where your fingers are and you could get a nasty burn. Talked to casey about this once before, and if i recall he wouldn't do anything shorter than 14 unless thats changed. Remember the barrel might be 12 1/2" but the porting goes back about 2" farther
