I have been considering the 8.5" too, mainly because it looks cool, I already have a 590 with a 20" barrel and a DA Grizzly with a 12.5" barrel, but after doing my homework it sounds like the 8.5 is very loud, so I'm not going to buy it. Instead I'll go with the KelTec KSG, its as small as the 8.5, isn't as loud, holds more ammo than the 590 and still looks cool.
Now I thinking of selling my Grizzly because I won't need it any more.
