^The ill fated project to provide the US Army with a fighting shotgun superior to the Ithaca #37, Remington 870, Winchester 1300, Winchester # 12, etc ended up with a H&K submission (CAWS) that used a 10 round magazine. The CAWS was originally selective fire, but after testing, it was decided to switch subsequent prototypes to semi-auto. Interesting. . .

I have been dabbling a bit with this. I figure 10 rnd drum symetrical drum not be too bulky.

Most parts are PVC plastic. Not likely to stand up to any recoil but good for a proof of concept.

Sorry for the Highjack.

Its like all my projects. I get really excited in the beginning and progress with near manic motivation. Then get distracted buy annother project and it sits unfinished on a shelf.

I still have to put some stops in for the spring, and make a follower. I was just going to use some dummy shells like the Beta C drum mag uses, or a linkage bar like the Wraithmaker uses. Patents are pending on the Wraithmaker which isnt a problem as long as I dont sell it.

For the tower, I sacrificed a box mag. Still have to stick it on somehow.

Looking good. How much room are you allowing for the spring? I'm trying to avoid having to use a grizzly mag for the tower, that would raise costs, however it also doesn't look too easy to make. I'll give it a crack. I'm still playing with multiple designs. Single stack u shape is looking better and better.

Im using a torsion spring that turns a spider drive separator thingy.

The tower is abit of a problem. I just cut up a box mag for the sake of simplicity. The magwell doesn't leave much room for much else besides stamped steel.

The startup cost for dies to stamp parts is expensive if production is your goal. You might be able to machine front and rear U channels that would mount to your drum. Like the AA Wraithmaker, but the Saiga has a really short magwell.

Should ask somebody stateside to pull apart (if you can) a Sagia 12 drum mag and perhaps base it off of that.
I like the concept, would sure make for a great toy :)
