I have no idea ..some ran down as I was spraying my bolt and it dissolved my forend and turned the parts contacted into a gooey gel in seconds

You are wrong there, brake cleans is a packaging name and is used for mulipal applications as a cleaner not just brakes. Like any chemical cleaner you should test on a small spot to see if it is compatable.

I have bad news for ya if your buying it for smelling purposes...

BrakeClean eats any plastic right away, polymer and carbon fiber last a little longer, but it isn't good on anything non-metal. I use it most days to de-grease welds for inspection cuz it dries instantly.

the crappy tire stuff works pretty good, but yeah brakleen isnt air freshener. The kleen-flo stuff actually smells like oranges and strips 2 stroke exhaust oil like crazy. Pretty much any brakleen will clean guns very well, its potent stuff

I dont really care about it its a ugly forgrip any ways the new one is on its way .. Just wanted to let any know in case they did care how it looked from factory .. Nothing some sand papper and paint cant fix if I wanted it back
