Hey has anyone bought/used products from Grizzly Gunworks? Thoughts and opinions are welcome! Link below;

I was considering their Defcon 1 Muzzle Brake, they also have a cool-looking threaded muzzle brake with noise & flash redirector otherwise known as a fake silencer for looks.

Also to throw into the mix, any opinions on Badger FTE brakes as well would be helpful,

Along on the same line of thinking, clamp-on brake vs threaded brake when you currently have no threads on your barrel? Worth it to have the threading gunsmith work done?

The jist I can gather is that a properly machined clamp-on brake with minimal clearances should function without issue. Bonus of threading being an added level of assurance that it will not wiggle off. 6 in one, half dozen in the other it would seem.

Let me know what you think,

Cheers,

-Andrew

Jeff does great work. He did this barrel chop for me and fabricated this brake. Each one is hand milled no CNC. This one is threaded.

ive had 3 of those breaks done for friends guns, they all perform flawlessly, he does great work.

he just chambered and threaded a barrel for me, very good guy to deal with. does excellent work

I've had the thread on defcon 1 brake and fit and finish was top notch. Worked really well. Cool factor was there if you want that. Great to deal with. Answers emails and phone calls. I waited about 2 months for mine though.

One bonus I found with the defcon brake was almost zero dust cloud shooting prone
