Clear some wall space and display it. People that buy taxidermy are, in my opinion, questionable.

I read in the OPs post that he really wants to sell the rug. Why not? Done fifty years ago by a reputable taxidermist, everything would be in legal order and will remain that way, to buy, sell or whatever. If you want to sell it, contact the best, largest taxidermist firm that you can. They do a lot of selling of their finished work and you may be able to work out a deal.

Totally legal to sell in Canada.. might have issues if selling to states etc. (import laws or hoops to jump through) Put it on your wall!!

Get it out on the floor in frount of the fire place or in loo of that big screen tele with it on the fire place channel ,a little mood music agood bottle of huche , just might spark the misses ! If thats a no go, well get the guns out and do some shining on them .Either way FUN,FUN !!!
