Grizzly killers: reward increased to $3,500

Lol why is everyone so confused about this. Rkr was just forwarding the article to us for discussion, he obviously is quoting from an article.

He wasn't as clear as he could have been. Post your comments on top, then the link, then the article with a quote box wrapped around it. Pretty straightforward and clear to all those who read.

just found on http://furbearerdefenders.com/ the following article. I watched the video on youtube and I didn't really see anything out of the ordinary .

THIS IS clear to me.......

A generous donor has come forward to offer $1,000 of their own money to increase our reward in the now infamous “grizzly video” to a total of $3,500.

We issued the reward late last week after witnessing the video of the atrocious killing of a grizzly bear, which may have taken place here in British Columbia. Though little is known about the video, it clearly warrants investigation by appropriate authorities.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the BC SPCA call centre at 1-855-622-7722. The reward – originally $2,500, but now $3,500 thanks to the generous donor, who wishes to remain anonymous - will be given to the tipster by The Fur-Bearers if identification and investigation lead to prosecution under federal or provincial regulations.

It’s possible that the killing of this bear was lawful. That does not mean, however, that no criminal or wildlife act violations occurred. We need a full, formal investigation to take place – and we need Premier Christy Clark to recognize that the public will not stand for these atrocious actions, regardless of the policy of the day.

This is typical anti hunting BS - how could it be lawful but its possible criminal acts occurred?? LOL

Guys the op clearly just copy/pasted what he found else where (I hope) let's not shoot the messenger.

This is clear......and the other thing that is clear is that there are many on this forum (CGN) who like to call out anti hunters, or anyone who seemingly has a different opinion than they do. Its how they get their daily dose of being an online bully.

Those people are delusional. They actually posted on their site in giant red letters that they had won and forced the RCMP to abandon their fur hats in favour of toques. Well, they did not. There are toques available now, but so are the fur hats. I specifically ordered one in case this ban did go through.

If you think they are bad read some of the comments under the video in Youtube. I honestly don't know where these people come from. Also bonus points for keeping the fur hats, just wish I still had my old man's.

I smell an anti

for you and other guys who smell an anti, I'd like to let all know that I'm planning to hunt black bear in the spring. I found the article while searching for info about how to hunt bears.

Maybe I should've better explain that the article wasn't mine. To me it's like bullying and probably the guy in the video should sue /furbearerdefenders.com/ for defamation.

I am sure most of us have made a bad shot now and then, it is hunting and it happens. In the end the animal was killed and recovered and that should be the end of the story. I would hedge bets it was all legal. And I have always maintained, if you are going to post your video's on youtube set the settings for only those you want to see the video.....friends, not public!!

OML...........hurry Santa and git yer arse down that chiminnie.
Linch mawb gitt'in awl antzi.

Oh, Merry Christmas awl yew'awll.................

I think an investigation in to every hunting kill is warranted. Laws may or may not have been broken but we need an investigation headed by the premier. Personally, I've taken close to 50 grouse this fall. They would each require a separate investigation, obviously.

It was a shot that went south.... Grizz was bleeding quite well.... Their heart rate isn't like one of an ungulate, takes bears longer to bleed out on a non heart / lung shot......

I am not with the antis, but I will say I would feel more solemn if that was my hunt.... There would be no "woo hoo" or high five involved...... And I certainly wouldn't post it on YouTube..... But then again, I wouldn't do that for a bang flop either......

This was already discusses at lengths few months ago.

This is the GB that was shot on a mountain and it was a marginal shot that eventually killed the bear after rolling down the Avalanche chute...not before the guide looked towards the camera with a look of "Oh my Gawd, we are going to have to haul that back up here ?"
The clown with the $1000.00 donation is a fool, but smart enough to put a disclosure that a conviction is mandatory.
Btw, did anyone investigate rkr and his profile on CGN before tossing the anti label out and about so freely.
His editorial skills or clip and paste skills maybe called into question, but being an anti?
Highly questionable. Just sayin,
Tight Groups,
Rob

I wouldn't post a video of any kill on Fakebook or anywhere else for that matter, especially one that only hunters would understand.

The Eco-Crazy tree hugging anti-hunting tofu-eatin holier-than-thou left wingers can go suck spotted owl eggs...
