Grizzly Mag 8.5 chokes?

Interested in a DA Grizzly mag 8.5". Wondering if the barrel is a thick enough profile to thread for chokes?
I bought a 14" Dlask 870 barrel for the same reason last year, and saw on their website that they offer 8.5" lengths that come threaded.

It would be much more cost effective if I could thread the factory DA barrel, than buy a Dlask and have a useless Chinese shorty.

It depends on the smith doing the work, and the actual barrel. Some of them aren't very concentric between the bore and the outside of the barrel. I know a couple of smiths that won't touch them. You could always just buy the dlask barrel only, you don't need to buy the gun (although the difference is night and day). Honestly, I don't think you are going to get a lot of choking out of an 8.5 in any case, but whatever floats your boat
