Hey everyone, I'm looking at adding a short mag fed pump to my collection. I'm looking hard at the 12.5" Grizzly with ghost ring sights, and the SAP6.

From what I've been able to see and read, I like that the Grizzly is mostly 870 parts compatable, and that I can have my choice of pistol grips, stock and buffer tube (probably something like an Endyne buffer to make slugs suck less...) with an adapter. I like that the SAP6 has the full length Pic rail on top, and has larger 6 and 11 round mags availables (largest Grizzly mag is 5?).

I'd like to hear some pros and cons from owners, especally if you've got both!

I was very underwhelmed by my mag-fed Grizzly. Not the most reliable fun I've owned. Feeding was hit and miss, depending on ammo. On the other hand, I'm loving my SAP6. Safety sucks, but everything else about it is awesome :)

I had a 12.5 inch mag fed. I loved the idea of it, didn't love the actual product. By the time I modified the magazines to feed reliably I just didn't care for it anymore.

I still love the idea, but I couldn't recommend it in good faith.

I believe the maker of the SAP 6 has a fix for the hard to operate safety. I'd contact them or Tactical Imports.

To the O.P.
I was researching these two guns a lot recently. There's a video on Youtube where two guys run over 100 rounds through a Sap 6 in about 4 1/2 minutes without a jam, FTF or misfire.
Not much good out there written about the Grizzly's reliability.
I'd definately go with the Sap 6.
