I have a 15" Grizzly MAG from CanAm, was playing around with it today and the smaller of the two trigger group retaining pins just slid out and hit the floor!

I tried a spare pin that I had from a HP9, but it was the same problem. I did find one thread saying that there is a spring that holds the pin in place once it is in the slot. Is this a DIY fix, or should it be taken to a 'smith?

Here is the thread : http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71830&highlight=870+pin

UPDATE : Just did a full disassembly and found a small ring was loose inside the receiver. I see that there is a spring on the other side of the pin, but on the right side of the receiver (looking from the rear to the front of the firearm) the spring is missing and so is this round buffer.

I wonder if CanAm has a warranty for this?? I've only had it 2-3 days...

Contact them . If you have a problem with anything , why discuss it on the internet, if it is new, talk to the dealer. Then tell us how good or bad the service was. Give the dealer a chance to make it right.

I just wanted to know if there was something I could have done myself to fix it instead of sending it away. Like a quick 5 minute repair. I have already contacted CanAm.
