Grizzly-MAG

You can do that to it fairly easily for a couple hundred dollars... It's pretty cool. That is the 15' one.... short enough IMHO.

Where did you source the rail and stock/grip combo? That's almost exactly how I want my 15 to end up, but I have no idea where those parts come from.

I'm very interested in the Grizzly-MAG, but in the time between when I found out about the gun and the arrival of my RPAL, extra magazines went out of stock. Being limited to one magazine largely defeats the purpose of having a detachable box in my opinion.

The five round limit is also a disappointment. Since it's a pump-action there's no legal restriction, and 2.75" shells are pretty light. It's nice to have non-restricted guns with magazines larger than five rounds.

Next, I hear there's a 12.5" Grizzly-MAG coming out soon? Any idea of when it will be available?

Finally, as the Grizzly-MAG a tactical shotgun, would a pistol grip and folding stock not be appropriate? I'd be willing to pay more for a Grizzly-MAG with a folding stock and pistol grip.

I'll most likely be buying a Grizzly-MAG when the 12.5" version comes out; however, I would be more excited about the purchase if I could get 10, 15, or 20 round extra magazines -- better yet, a drum -- and a folding stock & pistol grip.

Sounds like you want a Striker. That ship sailed in 1998 and isn't coming back. Also, a 12.5" folder is not going to happen. I can't even put a collapsable on my 12.5 without breaking the 26" OAL w/o telescoping/retracting rule.

As for center-fire magazines with capacity >5 rounds, they may be legal, but without some sort of markings (like the LAR-10s) you're probably asking for trouble. Stock Grizzly 5 rounders have no markings, and I doubt a larger capacity model would be any different. Get "caught" with that magazine, and you'll have to prove they wont fit a semi anywhere on the planet.

How much are you willing to spend on lawyers just to have a 10 or 20 round shotgun magazine?

IIRC, there's a pump action .223 rifle out there (7615?) that has a similar issue. It's a pump action rifle that uses a unique magazine (wont fit AR, etc) but it's limited to 5 rounds to keep with the "spirit" of the law .

This is about as perfect as you can get. Let us in on your secrets please.

No secret.. from a fellow CGNer... badboybeeson... check my feedback to find him. (My apologies CanAm for kinda advertising in your forum.)

Thanks for the heads up.

I can't seem to find that exact folding foregrip.

Any idea?

The factory has told us they have no ETA for supply. I can only report what they tell me. We are looking to another supplier for mags as a result.

So it's either:
- your looking at a Chinese manufacturer, that hasn't been located yet, no preproduction samples have been fondled yet, prices would then be unknown yet, delivery is unknown yet but resonable to believe its more than a year away.
-Or no mags are or ever will be coming and once this container of mag fed firearms are sold we move on to the next bit of eye candy to flog.

Seeing my glass is feeling kinda half empty at the moment I think you can figure out which way I'm thinking. To say I'm becoming more bitter with every passing development is to say it lightly...

There are two scenarios. first we wait for the Chinese factory to make enough mags, second we employ a new factory to make mags sooner than can be made by the Chinese factory. Right now we have begun the process of having the new factory make mags. Since we will begin selling this shotgun in the US this year, mags are a priority.

Good to hear.
So do we think we will see more mags in 2009??

Oh, I picked that up a long while ago.. I can't remember where. It's Israeli though if that helps.

How do like the folding grip on the shotgun? Any issues? Don't see many folders on pumps. Also what is the overall length on yours?

I threw it on more just because I had it laying around... it's cool I guess. OAL is 29 at it's shortest if I remember correctly.

I just cut my plastic stock down a tad and screwed on the butt-pad. My OAL is now 31" and it's more manageable. I'll patiently wait until a 10 round mag is available for the Grizzly. :)

ETA for Spare Mags

Any updates on the Mag situation? ETA?

Thanks.
