As I posted before, I managed to pick up a 12in Dlask on a Wingmaster here in the OT, and had her refinished by Striker...

The original stocks were just to short, and I decided it was time to replace the butt with some fresh police wood, and a new recoil pad.
I skipped the police ribbed forend, and went slick instead, getting rid of all checkering, in a decision to really lean her right out appearance wise.
In the meantime Striker opted to replace his Grizz stock with some Rem factory wood, so today we hit the range...

It was my first go round with a 12in Grizz, and there were a few little quirks I didn't like, but for the price I could live with. The action was still a little rough after what I felt was a reasonable breakin period, and there was a little hiccup on loading, and the trigger was gritty. But all in all not bad. The rear ghost ring, though pretty rough looking worked really well, but I felt it didn't help me much. We were both able to pick off spent hulls with slugs equally well, at least at hostile Zombie ranges.
I have to admit I would consider a Grizz but would preffer a cyl bore, without the chokes.

I have to testify, these 12inch 12ga shotties are the most fun I have had with firearms in years :shotgun:

You forgot the action shots..

The Grizz didn't mal function..*cough*

We tried to get a pic of the muzzle blast because we could see it..but the camera didn't capture it for some reason.

Both those shotguns look amazing. Very nice touch on both. I love that classy look to them. I know what you mean about the huge muzzle blast. I setup my tripod and used a long exposure to capture the blast on camera. I love sharing this pic (hope you don't mind).

That's a great pic dannyair. I'm going to do the same thing some night.
B..thanks. dosing is trying to convince me to shorten the front stock like his but I like the way it is now.

You should leave it as is Striker, It just makes it look so solid and beefy. I was gonna PM you about buying it when I saw it in the Photo Gallery, but seems like you like it. Guess I will have to build my own! How much do you think it'll cost?

I can't remember what I paid for the stocks but I got them in the EE. Those and the price of the shotgun from CanAm. It was under $400.
I haven't sold a gun yet and from all the "I wish I hadn't sold it" posts I read..I don't think I ever will.

That's not a bad blast, but check out this one.

Yeah, just imagine how many more fps I'll get. All that powder wasted as flame. Actually, I can't say it's wasted...the flamage is one of the major attractions of the DE.:ar15:

Wow. Both of those shotguns look fantastic with the wood. I have to say though looks wise I'm partial to the D-lask. Either one though would put a big grin on my face. Nice job guys.

Thanks and with the exception of his short wood on the front..I like the look of Dosings better too! :D
