I want to hunt grizzly. iI need to know where ive got the best chance. I prefer to go without an outfitter self guided but do not know the regs in other provinces or territories. can some of you point me in the right direction.

Seems yukon nwt regs say you need a licenced outfitter i puke when i see yankees spend 5000.00 on 130 class whitetail deer and than pay for coyote tags here in sask. if i cant go alone i will stay in sask, man, alta moose black bear

Nighttime,

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as a non-resident there's nowhere left on this planet where you can hunt ursos arctos horribilis without a guide. Every jusidiction with a legal grizzly hunt (Alaska, BC, Yukon, Russia, etc.) requires non-residents to be guided.

Trust me, I know. I'm in the process of re-booking a grizzly hunt after the outfitter I booked with went belly-up (and took my deposit with him  ).

I truly wish I had found a way to get out grizzly hunting here in Alberta before the season was shut down...

Yes. Expect $15000 US and go from there by the time you are done.BTW. WHEN the griz hunt in Alberta is brought back, I am at priority 10. that is, unless someone on the inside gets drawn again with 0 priority.........and his wife.

seems to work that way doesn't it. i know guys that get their cow moose draw EVERY year in a zone it takes ME 4 years to get drawn in. Must be the "not related to a local politician" penalty that I'm incurring.
