Who is able to fabricate a Masterkey-style mount for my 8.5" Grizzly to fit underneath my M4? I contacted BBB about it some time ago and never got a reply.

Not concerned with practicality, just looking for someone who can do the work. Thanks.

Good luck with that one pulling off your stock on the 8.5 makes it under 26' and you have a prohib I would think

Knights Armament Masterkey 12 Gauge
$1,999.95

I agree, I don't think it'd be prohibited to remove the stock off a 8.5" Grizzly... if that were the case, then simply switching stocks would be illegal, as you'd be in possession of a "prohibited firearm" as soon as you removed the original stock.

I've never actually thought about this, but it does sound like an interesting project... could you fabricate something up yourself, or are you specifically looking for a "standard" mount that you could use?

I can see this costing well over 3 grand to do.... As for legal take that stock off and drive over to the cfo and show them what you have and see what happens.. Attached to a underbelly might be a loop hole I dunno but most mounts I seen are QD I dont think it will fly being that it comes off in seconds... That would mean I can take snub nose and mount it on my m4 and I would be legal

I am sure it would have to be 26'' call and find out

What firearms are prohibited?
•rifles and shotguns that have been altered so that their barrel length is less than 457 mm (about 18 inches) or their overall length is less than 660 mm (about 26 )

•a rifle or shotgun that has been altered to make it less than 660 mm (26 inches) in overall length;

Was his grizz manufactured without a stock.... NO

Not my neck on the line I would do it to if I had that kind of cash to drop on a master key kit...

Just a heads up they use really soft loads in the 12g the m4 reciver wont hold up to slugs

I think in this particular case the stock becomes the AR.
You can switch between butt stock and pistol grip why not this...?

But I agree, I would not want to be the one finding out the hard way.
But I was mostly referring to your previous posts.

I really have no idea there is so much legal mumbo jumbo with length... I would really like to see this done it would look awesome... I have not even seen a masterkey in canada in years and years its about time some one did it and I can say right now if you did do it I would be jelouse

Only prohib if you cut the barrel yourself less than 18", or saw off the gun to less than 26". Restricted only if less than 26" OAL.

Yep, I think if its stockless it's restricted after a month if they can show it's intended to be used that way, otherwise it's a dismantled firearm.
Otherwise it's non-restricted on a restricted gun because it's over 26".
