Ground blind advice (concealing)

Also something to consider I guess. Not a fan of heights anyways and tree stands seem pretty rickety.
 
Sorry, I don't go in for all of that scent eliminator, face mask for your breath, gotta be camo'd up deal. I used to still hunt, walk and stalk, push drives, etc., but now I simply have a pop-up doghouse blind. I have set it up in the middle of a bare field. No extra Camo, 10 minutes before shooting a couple of deer. Yes, I try to work with the wind and the blind allows that. You can be set up a anywhere in just a few minutes. I have called deer in to within 10yds of that blind.
I have a tree stand that I used to use pretty hard, but I no longer do since one got stolen. The ground blind is easier and more productive as well.

Just picked one up a few days ago. I have a tree stand up that I have some apples around but I don't think the deer are hitting it till just after dark. My plan is to use this blind to intercept them from their bedding area on the way to the apples at last light.

That's pretty funny. I was just looking at that exact same blind on CTs website and decided that for the price I couldn't go wrong.

Material is tight over the frame and doesn't blow in the wind at all. Has a window in the roof too to shoot out of.

Mines still in the box but I made sure to watch a YouTube video of how to twist and fold it all back together for when the time comes. Looks pretty slick.
 
That CT one looks like one of those that requires you to use an x-shaped brace to hold the ceiling up. I find them to be a PITA, that piece is just one more thing to drop and lose in the dark. For not much more money you can get one of the hub-type blinds. More interior space, much more stable and solid, easier to carry (shaped more like a guncase rather than a large flat disc). They're at least as fast to put up as the CT one, and almost as fast to take down.

I'd also avoid the ones with an opening in the roof. No point in compromising the weatherproof advantage of the blind, which can make or break your comfort on a long sit.
