Actually, the birds here are a fair bit smaller than the ones I used to shoot in Northern Ontario as a kid. Probably look larger given their perspective in front of the dog.Well done, SC!

When we spot a bird I will find it in my scope and then paw will whistle and when the bird stops I squeeze and nail it right in the nogin.
We've got it honed down to a science.
Unless the bird flies right away it is 99% in the pot as soon as my trigger finger touches the 2# timney trigger on my 10/22.
Line the vertical crosshair up with the head/neck.
No split molars, ingested lead or wounded birds.
