Grouse River Outfitters?

I've had good dealings with them. Email communication was fast and it the responses sounded like they were well informed. In store I found it to be the same, the staff are great. I was impressed to see Bryan Litz (Applied Ballistics) books on the shelf there. They carry a good selection of reloading products. My only complaints are like others have said. 1) Prices are high 2) Many items on the site are not actually in stock.
I'm glad I don't have to buy ammo there. $$
 
I bought a Beretta Storm from them and they were the same price as every one else. Service is main reason why I keep going back to there website to order stuff. The last order I put in with them, they couldn't fill the entire order but it was 7 items and they had 2 of them on back order. They shipped the items they had right away and 2 weeks later shipped the remaining 2 items on their dime. They also called me the same day I placed the order to let me know what was happening, find out what I wanted to do and told me when the items should arrive. I believe it was $9 shipping as well...I couldn't complain about that. As far as I'm concerned you can't go wrong dealing with them but yes...not always the cheapest but sometimes they are.
 
Ordered bullets from them.
Got them but it took months.
They don't have anywhere near the selection and quantity of stuff they advertise on their website.
Epps and Lebaron who actually do have stuff in stock could take a lesson from the Grouse River website which has actual pictures of the guns they're selling.
 
not my favourite store, agree with others concerning out of stock items.

Del sellins runs a better gun store then grouse and wholesale sports combined out of that dog kennel of a shop he has. If its a local purchase I prefer heading there.
 
Prices are ridiculous and selection is sparce for anything, one brand name for each type of item. Hard for them to compete with so many better local shops. Wholesale, AC sports, Antler creek, Del Selin, Back Country all have better prices and selection and stock between them. But hey at least they're nice guys and clueless gals

Exactly. DelSelins has a real personal feel in their dark corner of Vernon. The only place where they will tell you how "fūcking awesome" something is....lol

I ordered a scope online. 2 days shipping across Canada and excellent customer service (excellent packaging to!) I paid full retail but got what I wanted. I will definitely deal with them again.
 
I no longer bother looking at their site, because I am sick and tired of calling to order something that the site indicates is in stock, but that they don't actually have.
 
For the most part I've had positive experiences a Grouse River. I have delt with the "out of stock" issues with their website but as stated they always called right away, gave me a couple options and handled the situation accordingly. These days out of stock products seem to be the norm regardless of where a guy shops. Prices are high but most things relating to this hobby are expensive. Employee's are always helpful. I also find that they carry a lot of "higher end" products that I can't find locally. Last weekend I took a trip to have a look through a March scope (can't find one anywhere around here). While there I found a match die set for a 7mm mag. Price was on par with sinclairs without the exchange, brokerage or wait time. They're all good in my book!
 
No problems whatsoever when i have ordered in stock items. They even went above and beyond by ordering an item in for me from their distrubutor that they did not stock normally. My only complaint is, what others have mentioned already, is never knowing what is in stock on their site.
 
I recently inquired about an item they show in stock, I wanted one with a set trigger and would require the rifle being sent back to the distributor for the modification. Anyways, it is not in stock, 7 people on a pre order list, no accurate time frame for delivery and have yet to get back to me with a price for one with the modification.

Is it just me or is it hard to find retailers willing to give pricing on and make orders for anything that is different or you want the options a manufacturer offers on their rifles rather than a std one?. There are a number of retailers on here that are simply impossible to get any info from yet claim to have stock on items I would buy if they returned emails, answered phones, called back when you leave a message , etc.
 
the whole website not showing stock was my only gripe about the company and emaled them about it. Otherwise Its got the nicest website/layout and great prices.

Yup!
It's kinda hard to compete with stores that actually have stuff to sell in stock on their shelves and racks.
I have very little patience for stores that advertise stuff for sale that they don't have and waste my time.

Epps inventory of guns and accessory stock and the Grouse River website would be the ideal gun shopping superstore.
That pathetic lamer of an abomination that Lebarons calls a website costs them plenty of Internet business but they don't seem to care.
And Cabelas.ca and their incessant "on backorder" has caused me to totally ignore that company.
SIR was a lot better.
