Grumpy, Please put the SAM-Thunderbolt-1911-45-ACP On Sale Soon I Want One!

Armscor and SAM are the same company, SAM or Shooters Arms are their own house brand, Armscor is their contract division, same production line, you order it and with the right amount of product Armscor will put what ever name you want on it.

Uhhh not so sure about that.
There are 3 different major 1911 makers in the Philippines.
SAM

Armscor

Metro Arms

3 completely separate companies, owned and operated by 3 different families/corporations.
I think you are confused...

MIM parts

I know some 1911's use MIM thumb safeties internals and hammers. What parts are MIM on the SAM 1911's?

All small parts are cast or MIM...just like any other 1911 under $1500. Even the latest Norks are all MIM small parts.
The SAM parts are well made though. Nothing to be concerned about.

SAM make a nice, tight, properly fit and finished pistol. Definitely a bargain at these prices. I would take one of these over the Ruger or Remington 1911's any day.

Well I have a Ruger SR1911 and now a Thunderbolt both in .45 ACP. I have not fired my Thunderbolt yet but fit, finish is excellent on both. The Thunderbolt is a better price point with more features if it was one or the other I would probably recommend the SAM.
