Good point! I must have missed that one, as I just kept referring to the first page for updates. Also, I don't feel bad responding to this thread, as I've had numerous email updates that amount to nothing :D

There was a brief update on page 28 I believe, but that was at the beginning of May, its been close to a moth since then, so I was wondering if anything has changed.

May 27, 2012

I will try and have an update this week when I get back in the office. As much as I would like to keep asking for updates and information on the magazines I do not want GSG to feel they are rushed in bringing the product to market. I would rather GSG takes the time and ensures that the magazines are going to run flawlessly rather than speed up thier delivery time by a few weeks. We are all excited about the new products which we are going to be bringing to Canada this year and I will try to keep everyone in the loop as much as possible with regards to delivery dates and pricing.

Best regards,

I think this has convinced me to get a 10/22 or sr22 when these finally come out. Seems like the wait has been a long ass time

^ Better tune the Lawyer approved 9#+ trigger or get a Timney/VQ or your finger will fall off pulling that awful trigger 110 times.

Are the triggers on the 10/22 that bad? I have a Marlin 795 and the trigger isn't bad at all. But then again, my clips are only 10 rounds each

Using the BC 25 rnd in my SR22 the factory LAWYERed trigger was so heavy no accuracy in rapid fire and after several mags my finger was aching.

With the VQ trigger easily do a 25 round burst to two inch grouping at 50 yds.

Hello All,

I'm sorry to report no updates at this time. GSG is still working on the re-design of the drum magazine to ensure proper functionality. I will keep everyone updated as we hear anything different.

Best regards,

Are they doing a complete over haul of the drum, or are they redesigning specific parts. Thanks.

At this point to be 100% honest I do not know. I have been told that it has gone back to the engineers and that is the extent of the information that I have been provided.

Best regards,
Ryan Patterson

Well... that's unfortunate for everyone, but I suppose that it is better that they are given the time to work out any issues, as I rather have a drum magazine that actually works.

I'm starting to think these mags are a urban legend been years it seems and still ain't even close to done

Does anyone know how long these have been in development for? Just wondering as it may be some indication as to if they'll ever become a reality.

This quote taken from the first post makes me think we won't be waiting forever -

"There will be a large amount of stock available to both the public and our Canadian dealers"

GSG wants these things out as badly as we want to buy them. However they obviously want them to work as well. If they launch this drum mag and it has all the same issues of it's predecessor's then it will wither and die on the vine. If it runs reliably, the word will be out on the internet instantly and they will sell every one they can produce, as fast as they can produce them, for years to come. It takes a while to build a better mousetrap, so patience in in order, but my guess is that they are not all that far away from going to production.
