GSG 110 Round Mag prohibited now?

I don't even want a 100+ round drum mag for my 10/22 but I think I'll buy one just on principle.

I almost wish I never bought 2 of them. They go to range full and come back empty every time. And they're so annoyingly reliable that they empty themselves quickly.

I'm just afraid that they're so heavy that they might damage the latch on my 10/22 plus my buddies sons will just burn through my .22's even faster than they do now with 25 round steel lips.

Calgary Shooting Edge had like ten of the GSG drums on the rack still for sale when I was there on Wednesday...until the RCMP issues a public notice I don't think anyone is taking an email with limited provenance and unknown authority very seriously.

Mine was great for the first 114 rounds (yep, that's what it held), then it failed to work. I attempted to resolve the problem, and after about 1 hour fiddling with the coil spring, I filed it in 'G'. Never looked back. Total crap.

I just ordered some gsg drums and they shipped no problem. If they and other mags become prohibited after I have legally purchased them I will simply treat them the same as my 858. Take that however you want.

Why would someone import or even buy... knowing the rules and regulations surrounding high capacity magazines...
The law is pretty clear...

Go ask Little Airwolf... your knocking on his door...

I never bought gsg drums Hoyt, get your facts straight pos.

No you tried to import BX-25X2 mags knowing full well they were prohibited and then raised a ruckus and whined to anyone who would listen... creating as much noise around a subject that any shooter with a quarter brain was staying quiet about... I thought your "court date" was in "August"... you were going to fix everything for all of us Canadian shooters... I would rather be represented by a fence post...

tHE bigger PROBLEM IS THIS WILL OPEN THE DOOR TO RESTRICT all 10/22 MAGAZINES TO 10RDS! SINCE ANY 10/22 INCLUDING BUTLER CREEKS OR OTHER CAN FIT in the Charger, I hope this new ruling is shot down cause its 100% dumb

Im glad we opened this crazy can of worms, we've been shooting 10 round mags in rifles so far, no blood in the streets yet.
I'm sure people have been shooting 25, 50, and 110 round mags in charger pistols so far, no blood in the streets yet.
And the remaining fact that anyone with a drill and 5 minutes of time can open up their pmags to 30 or 40 rounds anyway....
It's time the magazine capacity laws are re-visited from a COMMON SENSE point of view.
We need a superhero like the NFA to rise up and educate some sheep.

I think our money is much better spent on NFA, or (god forbid CSSA) rather than the government (conservative or otherwise).

I've got high capacity mags for my 10/22 that were purchased 20 years ago...are they going to say that they were designed to fit into a pistol that wasn't invented yet?

Absolutely stupid drawing attention to this in my opinion, under the radar and not pushing the point would have served the community better.....

Burying your head in the sand or pretending these law changes ain't happening isn't beneficial to anyone either. If the public doesn't push back or speak up the Feds will jam through any laws they want

That's what they did in C-17 and C-68 to all the centre fire mags... They retro-actively made all the high caps illegal. Why should we expect any different from the RCMP white shirts? The RCMP brass all drank the Liberal cool-aid long ago. And with the CPC pushing back, the White Shirts will go out of their way to be dinks and grab what power they can.

You are fooling yourself thinking this will result in positive changes, they will decide what they want to do and what they want to do in deal with stuff on the radar which is what has happened.......

Head in the sand nope, head above the trenches nope not for me either out of sight means out of discussion, just see what happened when JR pushed the 58 button issue...

Just sayin
