My Drum mag jams up every shot or two. Seems to be damaging the casing of the next round. I've tried different brands of ammo without success More rounds end up at my feet then on the target. Can anyone help me?

Did you talk to the store you bought it from, or the warranty depot? They would be my first try. I have not had any issues with mine so far. What ammo are you using? Could be jamming from wax buildup?

Ditto on checking for over-waxed ammo. I mistakenly tried to use a bunch of bulk CCI ammo in it, and the wax f--ked things up pretty good. The last 3 times I've been shooting with it I loaded the magazine up with Stingers, since they seem to have no wax on them - I can do 3 mag dumps in a row with maybe one jam. Clean the drum of any wax buildup, and load it full of stingers to verify that the mag works well, then start branching out into other ammo. In large cap 22 mags I make it a point to try and stick to copper round nose and not funky huge hollowpoint or truncated cone ammo. I know stingers aren't cheap, but when I use them in the GSG 110 rd drum mag, it's among the most reliable magazines I got.

I'm using Winchester wildcat 40 grain which appears to have a coating on it and wincherster plated hollow points 36 grain. The hollow points seem to do a bit better. The drum seems to be functioning well accept it seems to be pushing the next round into the breech too soon causing strike marks on the casing. Ill contact dealer tomorrow and see what they say. I read elsewhere that the spring might be wound too tight.

Make sure it isn't too tight in the rifle. I found it jammed up like crazy when it fit tight and the 1022 with a little more room never missed a beat.

How old is the Win Wildcat? There have been several recalls of Win 22LR ammo recently...although I don't remember the details.
Perhaps have a Google around - I certainly don't want to start any rumours!

I should add, that I use good ole Fed Bulk, and can generally dump 40-50, or more, before a misfire, and that is usually just a missing round (a "space" in the drum from loading it)....solved by a quick straight-pull of the handle...not a "jam" per se.

Good luck...when you get it working, they are great fun. Bit it must suck the way it is now...

Anyone tried to mod one for a SR?

Not much to mod, just square up the magazine, pretty easy to do... less than 5 minutes with a flat file and touched it up rattle can black.. Had about 8 failures out of the first 110 rounds. Didn't keep track after that but each mag gets better and better as you learn how to load the frisking thing right!

On my second mag currently. This one like the first one doesn't want to load properly and the feed belt is causing me headaches. It fails to feed a lot. I thought I might be using it incorrectly but according to the instructions and the instructional video this is the correct operating method.

The video also says no wax ammo ever. Just an fyi.

I was told by a gunsmith that ALL .22 ammo was wax coated.

Be that as it may, I had huge problems with the GSG that I bought. I wound up sending it back for a refund.

On reflection, what do I need a 110 rd mag for when I have a tri-mag and two BC-25s=80 rds when I walk into the range.

well, excessive wax then. I'm talking after using these CCI blazers I got, it looked like someone tried to ram a votive candle into my 10/22

I phoned the distributor and he told me to oil in the drum where you can see the ammo. I'm not using wax ammo and end up with 2 or sometimes 3 rounds in the breach. I'll try it and let you guys know how it goes. If it doesn't work ill probally send it back for a refund.

I disassembled the new one I got. I oiled it very well and fixed the out of place feed belt dumby rounds. It is now loading smoother. I will take it to the range and test this new one and get back to you guys this weekend.

i just got mine today and it needed no modification at all. slid right in my SR. it did have bare metal on the sides though. right where other people say you have to file it down. havent tested functionality yet so im hoping that it wasnt some sort of return that somebody modded and didnt like....

Oiling it did nothing for me. It jams every 1-2 shots. Super fustrating. My drum also had bare metal on the side from fresh filing. Mine fits perfect in my SR I hope you have better luck with yours as I'll be asking for a refund.

So took the drum out to the range this weekend and had the same issues. Lots of double feeds rounds don't seem to be secure in the neck. I am just going to return it and not get another.
