GSG-15 Optics

Hello,

I'm a recent GSG-15 owner, and I must say, Im very happy with it. Have thus far had zero issues.

The flip-up iron sights are great, but I'd like something with a bit of magnification. Can anyone recommend some decent optics? Id be looking in the $200ish range, maybe a bit more for the right equipment. New or used. Ive tried looking around but became a bit overwhelmed by the number of choices.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
 
I have an old Ruko Hakko 1-3x20 on it - illuminated but not with batteries. It uses natural light gathered to light up the crosshairs. Works fine. Also use a cheapo red dot on it too.

I had a vortex 2-7 lying around that I put on. My 8 year old loves it, blind grandpa can hit just about everything with it and it’s more than accurate enough for grouse head shots. I had at least 500 rounds without a hiccup. I’m not into cleaning things as much as I should so it did start to have the odd FTF or FTE the last time out. It oddly only had issues when my 8 year old was loading the mags though so....maybe 500 more and then clean?
 
I use a Primary Arms 2.5x with ACSS reticle on mine. Works well but the site over bore is pretty high. Have it sighted for 25 yards and it’s awesome. I had the PA on a different gun that’s now verboten.
