Hello,

I am thinking of picking up a fun gun, should I go GSG-15 or GSG-16?

Does anyone wanna chime in if the 110 round rotary drum for the GSG-16 is worth buying or is it not worth trying.

Thanks.

I have no personal experience but a YouTuber had one with several feed problems. Seems the internal spring is a little weak and can’t feed the rounds fast enough when you try to “ simulate automatic” with quick trigger pulls.

had the drum....what a Night Mare.
I was told it was trouble and didnt listen.....they were right.
Just got 3 extra stick mags. they always run %100

I have the 16 with the drum. If you use the right ammo it runs great. I had the best luck with the Remington "golden Bullet" stuff in the green box. That being said the drum does take absolutely forever to load and the excitement and novelty of it kind of wears off after you dump it a few times imo. I think being able to have a full capacity drum magazine is very cool though and worth it. I have used it to chop down a tree which was fun lol.

I have a GSG 16 with a Holosun red dot on it. Its a blast to shoot. It always brings a smile to my face. I had the 110 round drum. I found that once it was installed it made the gun a little more awkward to hold be me as the drum was against my front forearm. The drum is a pain to load. I sold it and bought 3 extra mags. They are a lot more reliable and easier to load.

It really doesn't matter with of the 2 guns you buy. I can guarantee that you will have fun.

Most people do not watch videos on YouTube for loading, they do not watch the angle of the round, and do not use good ammo. Do it right and it is fun.

I have seen that the drum magazines are only full of feeding issues and jams. Would be nice if they came out with a metal one with a stronger spring

Let's just say there is a reason most militaries abandoned the drum mag decades ago... too bulky, too fragile, simply not as reliable as stick mags...

They're a cool novelty item. That's about it. If your lucky it'll be reliable, but even then Loading 25rd stick mags gets old, nevermind a 110rd drum.

All that said I'd get the gsg16 over the 15. Looks better, especially if you get an MP5 style fixed stock for it.
